PM_SZALLODA_2020 – Development of Hotels in Pest County

With the support of the Ministry of Finance, the project involves the development of the Szépia Bio & Art Hotel in Zsámbék. The project has a support intensity of 50%, with a non-repayable grant of HUF 299.99 million. The funding is provided from the targeted budgetary support allocated to developments in Pest County for the implementation of the Pest County Regional Development Concept 2014–2030 and the Pest County Regional Development Programme 2014–2020.

The investment is being implemented in the Budapest metropolitan area at the four-star Szépia Bio & Art Hotel, located at 2072 Zsámbék, Nyárfás utca 2., 592/9. The hotel currently operates with 38 rooms. As part of the project, a new wing will be constructed, increasing the hotel’s capacity by an additional 27 rooms.

In addition to the expansion, the project also includes the development of services, comprising:

  • the expansion of child-friendly services through the establishment of a spray park;

  • the development of kitchen technology and equipment;

  • the development of supplementary thematic services linked to nearby tourist attractions, including cycling services and the development of a travel agency service.

As part of the development, renewable energy solutions will also be implemented, including the installation of a solar panel system, together with environmentally conscious solutions such as the construction of a green roof and the development of electric vehicle charging facilities.

The aim of the investment is to improve the quality of the services provided by the accommodation facility, expand its capacity, and introduce services that enhance occupancy rates and profitability, in response to increased demand while also taking sustainability considerations into account.

As a result of the development, the hotel’s range of services will be expanded, leading to a significant increase in capacity utilisation, cost efficiency and revenue.

ESPA Kft. will provide the own contribution covering the portion of the project’s eligible total costs not financed by the requested grant, using a combination of own funds and an investment loan.
